- In October, Russia exported 6.3 million tons of grain by sea, marking an 11% increase compared to October 2023. Since the start of the season, Russia’s grain exports have reached 45% of the annual target of 60 million tons, with 22.8 million tons shipped by sea.
- As of November 1, 2024, Kazakhstan's grain reserves were at 23.424 million tons, including 18.783 million tons of wheat, 2.974 million tons of barley, 362,000 tons of corn, and 260,000 tons of rice.
- According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Australia exported 19.59 million tons of wheat, including durum, during the 2023/24 season. This included 17.64 million tons in bulk and 1.95 million tons in containers. In 2022/23, exports totaled 31.67 million tons.
- FAS USDA data indicates that China’s soybean production in 2024/25 will reach 19.9 million tons, with cultivated areas expanding to 9.95 million hectares. Imports will amount to 104 million tons. Beginning stocks are estimated at 36.4 million tons (31.8 million in the previous season). Oilseed processing in China will reach 137.3 million tons (up from 135.3), with soybean processing at 99 million tons. Soymeal consumption will be 102.7 million tons (previous estimate was 101.3). Soymeal will account for over 74% of total meal consumption, with rapeseed meal at 13.1%.
- SEA data shows that in 2023/24, India’s vegetable oil imports will reach 16.2 million tons, down by 3.09% from 2022/23 (16.47 million tons). Crude palm oil imports are projected at 7 million tons (7.59 million), palm olein at 1.93 million tons (2.11 million), soyoil imports at 3.44 million tons (3.51 million), and sunseed oil imports at 3.51 million tons (3 million). In October, palm oil imports increased by 60%, soyoil imports decreased by 11%, and sunseed oil imports rose by 56.5%.
- According to Oil World, Malaysia exported 430,000 tons of palm oil to India in October, the highest level in the past four years (262,000 tons in October 2023). Exports to the EU reached 132,000 tons (88,000 tons). Monthly exports totaled 1.73 million tons (1.48 million in October 2023), with year-to-date exports reaching 14.06 million tons in 2024.
