- In the new season, Asian consumers will increase purchases of wheat from France and Romania given the lack of supplies from Ukraine. Now French wheat with delivery in August in Indonesia is priced at 495 USD/ton C&F, and Romanian wheat is priced at 470 - 480 USD/ton C&F. In comparison, the price of Australian APW wheat is 478 USD/ton C&F.

- The United States plans to build temporary warehouses for storage of Ukrainian grain in Poland. From there, the production will be distributed to Europe and the world. The hubs are estimated to have a total capacity of 20 million tons of grain.

- In the first half of June, 600,000 tons of grain were exported from Ukraine, and since the beginning of the season total grain exports reach 47,711 million tons, including wheat exports of 18.64 million tons (42,000), barley exports of 5,731 million tons (15,000) and corn exports of 22.87 million tons (553,000).

- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 2,000 contracts of corn, 4,000 contracts of soybeans and 4,500 contracts of wheat.

- According to Conab data, as of 12.06.2022, 5% of the areas have been harvested with the second corn crop in Brazil (+2% for the week and 2% a year earlier). The first corn crop was harvested on 89% of the areas (+2% and 88%). The sowing campaign of wheat from the 2022/23 crop has been carried out on 47% of the planned areas (+8% and 54%).

- According to Oil World, 10.6 million tons of soybeans were exported from Brazil in May (14.9 years earlier), which is the lowest level for this month of the year in the last three years. 6.4 million tons of soybeans were exported to China (10.1), 1.4 million tons to the EU (1.5), 296,000 tons to Turkey (627,000) and 231,000 tons to Thailand (497,000). Exports of soymeal were 2.02 million tons (1.7 in May 2021), including 916,000 tons for the EU, 348,000 tons from Indonesia and 323,000 tons from Thailand. Soybean oil exports were 262,000 tons (181,000), including 148,000 tons for India. Over the first 5 months of the season, soyoil exports from Brazil increased to 957,000 tons (640,000), including +313% higher exports for India. Soymeal exports were 8.2 million tons (+27.8%), including 3.7 million tons for the EU (+24.5%).

- As of June 14, 2022, 84.1% of the wheat areas in China have been harvested, which is 17.07 million hectares.

- According to the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture of China, the production of edible oils in the country will reach 28.15 million tons in 2021/22 and consumption is projected at 36.34 million tons. Imports will be 7.43 million tons.
