240,000 tons of wheat were purchased, including 60,000 tons from Russia and 180,000 tons from Romania. At the previous tender, 180,000 tons of wheat were purchased from Romania. Romanian wheat is now the leader with the best FOB prices, but this time there was only one offer. Other FOB offers were highly competitive. An important role in the tender played the freight cost, which is much lower for Russian wheat than that for Romanian.
