Grain Highlights 15.06.2021

According to the forecast of Oil World, world's soybean production will reach 378.1 million tons in 2021/22, which is 19.7 million tons more than the previous season.

- Over the period of September-May, 1.69 million tons of sunseed meal were exported from Ukraine to China, which is 5% more than in the previous year. During the period, total sunseed meal exports from Ukraine reached 3.75 million tons (-9%).

- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 21,500 contracts of corn, 13,500 contracts of soybeans and 5,500 contracts of wheat.

- In April, canola exports from Australia decreased by 40% compared to March to 451,580 tons (749,500 tons in March). The largest customer was Germany with 275,800 tons. Over the period of 01.11.2020 - 30.04.2021, 2.46 million tons of canola were exported from Australia.

- The South Korean MFG has held a tender for the purchase of 140,000 tons of feed wheat with delivery within October-November.

- The Philippines has announced a tender for the purchase of 205,000 tons of milling and feed wheat.

- According to the forecast of Oil World, world's soybean production will reach 378.1 million tons in 2021/22, which is 19.7 million tons more than the previous season. The soybean production around the world will be:

  • Brazil - 140 million tons (135.4)
  • Argentina - 49.2 million tons (43.5)
  • Paraguay - 10.4 million tons (9.5)
  • the United States - 119 million tons (112.55)
  • India - 11 million tons (9.8)
  • Canada - 6.5 million tons (6.3)
  • Ukraine - 3.4 million tons (3)
  • EU - 2.9 million tons (2.6)

Soybean processing in the world is projected at 326.7 million tons (+6.8) and world's ending soybean stocks are expected to reach 98.7 million tons (+6.2).
