- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 11,000 contracts of corn, 7,000 contracts of soybeans and 3,500 contracts of wheat.

- According to USDA data, as of 05.09.2021, 95% of the spring wheat areas have been harvested in the United States (+7% for the week). The sowing campaign of 2022/23 winter wheat has started and 5% of the planned areas have been sown.

It is very likely that prices offered on the tender in Egypt have risen in this regard. Processors' profitability in China will increase due to limited supplies. The flow of goods in the United States will be directed to the Pacific Ocean, where ports will be congested and land transportation costs will increase significantly. - China has refused to buy 400,000 tons of barley from Ukraine. The deals were canceled due to a drop in the price of pork in China and congested Chinese ports. At the same time, Turkey bought 245,000 tons of feed barley with delivery within September-October at an average price of 300 USD/ton C&F, which is 10 - 11 USD/ton higher than the price on the tender held on 20.08.2021. Saudi Arabia has been absent from the market since January 25, 2021 and the country traditionally buys a lot of barley in September.

- Algeria has announced a tender for the purchase of at least 50,000 tons of feed barley with delivery in October.
