The average rapeseed yield in Ukraine reached 2.86 tons/hectare in 2021, which is 23.3% more than the previous year.

- From 18.08.2021, the export tax on Russian wheat is 30.4 USD/ton compared to 31 USD/ton a week earlier. The export tax for barley is 26.1 USD/ton (27) and 49.6 USD/ton for corn (unchanged).

- The average rapeseed yield in Ukraine reached 2.86 tons/hectare in 2021, which is 23.3% more than the previous year. As of 05.08.2021, 78% of the crops have been harvested and 2.1 million tons of rapeseed have been harvested. In 2020, rapeseed production was 2.557 million tons. In 2019 - it was 3.3 million tons, in 2018 - 2.747 million tons and in 2017 - 2.195 million tons.

- According to estimates by the Ministry of Agriculture of the United Kingdom, wheat areas in the country were 1.62 million hectares in 2021, which is 28% more than the previous year. Spring barley areas reached 461,000 hectares (-42%) and winter barley areas were 343,000 hectares (+35%), which reflects the transition of farmers from spring to winter crops. Rapeseed areas reach 273,000 hectares (-21%).

- In the regions with a prolonged drought - Canada, the western parts of the United States and the Volga region of Russia it rains and the volumes are very good. Lower temperatures will allow late crops to increase yields to some extent. In many places the rains will continue in the new week.

- According to data from the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, as of August 18, 2021, 6.3 million hectares of corn were harvested in Argentina (98.1% of total corn areas), 49.5 million tons of corn were harvested at an average yield of 7.87 tons/hectare. Sunseed has been sown on 111,000 hectares or 6.5% of the planned 1.7 million hectares (1.3 in the previous season).

- Bangladesh is looking to buy 50,000 tons of milled wheat. The previous tender was canceled due to high wheat prices.

- Oil World expects that the export price of palm oil from Malaysia will reach 1,000 USD/ton at the end of the year. The average export price of palm oil for the first half of 2022 is projected at 850 USD/ton.
