According to a preliminary estimate of the USDA, wheat areas in the United States will reach 19.8 million hectares in 2022/23, which is 5% more than 2021/22.

- According to USDA data, as of November 7, 2021, 91% of the planned areas in the United States have been sown with winter wheat (+4% for the week, 92% a year earlier and 91% on average for the last five years). 46% of the crops are in good and excellent condition. Corn was harvested on 84% of the areas (+10%, 90% and 78%) and soybean was harvested on 87% of the areas (+8%, 91% and 88%).

- According to a preliminary estimate of the USDA, wheat areas in the United States will reach 19.8 million hectares in 2022/23, which is 5% more than 2021/22. Wheat production is expected to reach 54.5 million tons (44.8 in 2021/22). Domestic wheat consumption in the United States will be 31.1 million tons (31.6) and wheat exports are estimated at 25.2 million tons (23.8). Corn areas are expected to reach 37.2 million hectares (+1%) and the corn production is expected at 387.1 million tons (381.5). Domestic corn consumption will be 315.7 million tons, including 146.1 million tons for feed (+2.6) and corn exports are expected at 61 million tons (-2.5). Soybean areas will be 35.4 million hectares in 2022/23 (+1%) and soybean production is projected at 121.5 million tons. Domestic consumption of soybean is estimated at 61 million tons (+0.4) and soybean exports are predicted at 58.2 million tons (+1.3).

- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 3,000 contracts of corn and 11,000 contracts of soybeans and net buyers of 1,000 contracts of wheat.

- According to AgRural data, as of November 8, 2021, 67% of the planned areas in Brazil have been sown with soybeans (+15% for the week and 56% in 2020). The first corn crop was sown on 75% of the total planned areas (+12% and 68%).

- In December 2021, the export tax on Russian sunseed oil will be 276.7 USD/ton (194.5 in November and 227.2 in October).

- According to the forecast of SovEcon, the oilseed production in Russia will reach 23.8 million tons in 2021 (+0.8 compared to the previous estimate and +2.6 compared to 2020). The sunseed production is projected at 15.3 million tons (+0.6 and +2). In 2019, the sunseed production was 15.4 million tons.

- In 2021/22, the rapeseed production in Bulgaria is estimated at 376,000 tons (+35% compared to 2020/21). Rapeseed areas in 2022/23 are expected to reach 104,000 hectares (+10%).

- Tunisia has announced a tender for the purchase of 100,000 tons of soft wheat and 75,000 tons of feed barley.

- Egypt has announced a tender for the purchase of 30,000 tons of soyoil and 10,000 tons of sunseed oil with delivery within January 5 - 25. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Egypt has approved Latvia as a supplier of wheat.

- Turkey has announced a tender for the purchase of 325,000 tons of corn of any origin and delivery over December - January.
