The USDA lowered its forecast for the world's wheat production and ending wheat stocks
In their October report, analysts from the USDA lowered the world's wheat production estimate to 775.8 million tons for 2021/22 (780.2 in September and 774.7 in 2020/21).

Wheat production estimates in different countries around the world:

  • Canada - 21 million tons (23 and 35.2)
  • the United States - 44.8 million tons (46.2 and 49.7)
  • Iran - 13.5 million tons (15 and 15)
  • Kazakhstan - 12 million tons (12.5 and 14.2),
  • the EU - 139.4 million tons (139 and 125.9)
  • Brazil - 7.9 million tons (7.7 and 6.2)

World's total wheat exports are estimated at 201.8 million tons (200.9 and 198), including:

  • Australia - 24.5 million tons (24 and 19.7)
  • the EU - 35.5 million tons (35 and 29.7)
  • India - 4.5 million tons (3.5 and 3.6)
  • Canada - 15.5 million tons (17 and 27.7)

The world's ending wheat stocks are projected to reach 277.2 million tons (283.2 and 288.4), including:

  • United States - 15.7 million tons (16.7 and 23)
  • Russia - 9.5 million tons (9.9 and 11.9)
  • EU - 10.7 million tons (10.9 and 10)
