- Over the previous week, the forward prices of rapeseed with a fat content of 42% in Ukraine and delivery within July - August fell by 10 - 12% to 550 - 560 USD/ton. The market is likely to be affected by changes in German legislation.
- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 5,000 corn contracts and 3,000 soybean contracts and net buyers of 6,500 wheat contracts.
- According to Anec's forecast, soybean exports from Brazil will reach 10-11 million tons in June (14.2 million tons in May and 11.9 million tons in June 2020). Exports of soymeal are projected at 2 million tons (1.7 and 1.4). Corn exports are expected to reach 123,900 tons (0 and 787,800).
- The first harvesting campaigns of corn in Brazil indicate for a 5% lower corn yield than the previous year. With poor yields, farmers will not be able to fulfill their forward contracts. In Mato Grosso, 3.9% of the corn areas have been harvested (16.3% a year earlier) and 1% in Parana. In Parana, 23% of the corn crops are in good and excellent condition, 45% in fair condition and 32% in poor condition.
- According to Oil World, 4.3 million tons of soybeans were processed in Argentina in May (4.21 million tons in April and 4.04 million tons in May 2020). Over the period of January - May, soybean crush totaled 17.9 million tons (15.4). Soyoil stocks in Argentina at the end of May were 281,000 tons (267,000) and soymeal stocks reached 914,000 tons (516,000). Sunseed processing in May was 335,000 tons (397,000 and 276,000). Stocks of sunseed oil were 146,000 tons (171,000) and sunseed meal stocks were 84,000 tons (121,000).
- In May, India reduced its oilseed exports to 228,000 tons (303,000 tons in April). Rapemeal exports were 96,900 tons (177,800) and soymeal exports reached 52,400 tons (39,700).
