According to a forecast by Rusagrotrans, wheat exports from Russia in August will be 4 – 4.5 million tons (5.4 million in August 2023 and an average of 4.9 million in recent years).
The Ukrainian Grain Association has lowered its forecast for Ukraine's 2024 grain and oilseed production to 71.8 million tons (-2.8 compared to the previous estimate and 82.8 in 2023/24).
Over the past week, the United States has started harvesting spring wheat, with 1% of the crops harvested (2% a year earlier and 3% average over the past five years).
