According to SovEcon's estimate for April, Russia is expected to export a record 4.6 million tons of wheat, compared to 4.4 million tons in April 2023 and an average of 2.9 million tons in previous years.

At the end of last week, the FOB price of Russian wheat was 211 USD/ton, while French wheat was priced at 220 USD/ton.

- Oil World data indicates that in March, Argentina processed 2.99 million tons of soybeans, up 0.6% from February and 0.9% from March 2023. From January to March, processing reached a record 7.48 million tons, an increase of 1.9%.

- According to the Federal Committee on Agriculture in Pakistan, the wheat production in the country was 29.69 million tons from an area of 9.6 million hectares in 2023/24, a 5.4% increase from the previous season. For 2024/25, the corn production is expected to be 9.3 million tons from 1.5 million hectares.

- Algeria has purchased 200,000 tons of hard wheat with delivery in June at prices ranging from 395 to 398 USD/ton for Panamax ships and 405 to 412 USD/ton for Handymax ships. Most of the deliveries will come from Mexico.

The wheat production is projected to be 9.0 million tons, while corn production is estimated at 7.6 million tons, with imports at 7.7 million tons. Rice production is expected to reach 3.6 million tons.

- Jordan has purchased 60,000 tons of barley at a price of 217 USD/ton C&F with delivery at the end of July.

- Palm oil prices fell for the second consecutive day on the Malaysian commodity exchange, with July futures dropping by 2.33% to 805.27 USD/ton. Increased production in Southeast Asian countries and the cheaper prices of other major oils worldwide contributed to the decline. Soyoil prices on the Dalian exchange dropped by 1.2%, while palm oil prices fell by 2.45%. Soyoil in Chicago decreased by 0.42%.
