In October, sunseed meal exports from Ukraine reached 359,000 tons (+26% compared to September and -2% compared to October 2022). China imported 144,000 tons, marking the highest level in the last 7 months. It is noteworthy that there is significant competition in the Chinese market between Ukrainian and Russian sunseed meal, although Russian sunseed meal is irregularly purchased.
In the first 20 days of November, Ukraine exported 425,000 tons of soybeans, and the forecast for the entire month indicates an export of 560,000 tons.
From July 1 to November 22, 2023, Ukraine exported a total of 12.003 million tons of grain (compared to 16.632 the previous year), including 2.793 million tons in November (3.429). Jordan has announced a tender to purchase 120,000 tons of forage barley with an unspecified origin and delivery within February-March.
Algeria has conducted a tender to purchase at least 50,000 tons of soft wheat and 50,000 tons of forage barley. Preliminary data indicates that wheat was purchased at a price of 277 USD/ton C&F, and barley at 219-224 USD/ton C&F. Deliveries will be made from December to February.
