- According to a Rusagrotrans forecast, wheat exports from Russia will reach a record 49 million tons in 2022/23 (+7 compared to 2021/22). In June, exports will reach 3.5 - 3.6 million tons (3.3 in the previous estimate).
- From 01.07.2023, no export tax will be applied when exporting sunseed oil from Russia. For sunseed meal, the export tax will be 6,248.7 rubles/ton. During the week of 28.06 - 04.07.2023, the export tax on Russian wheat will be 2,473.3 rubles/ton (2,612.9), no tax will be applied for barley and the export tax for corn will be 937.8 rubles/ton (1,168.1).
- In Ukraine, the sowing of spring crops for the 2023 crop has been completed. 12.75 million hectares have been sown with grain and oil crops. 5,672 million hectares were sown with cereals, including 280,000 hectares of spring wheat (98% of forecast), 821,900 hectares of spring barley (79%), 139,300 hectares of peas (116%), 150,100 hectares of oats (102%) and 4.044 million hectares of corn (112%). 5.308 million hectares (94%) were sown with sunseed, 1.78 million hectares (96%) with soybeans.
- According to data from FranceAgriMer, as of 19.06.2023, 2% of the areas with winter wheat, 1% of the areas with spring barley and 10% of those with winter barley were harvested in France. 83% of winter wheat crops are in good and excellent condition (-2% for the week and 64% a year earlier), as well as 77% of durum crops (-4% and 60%).
- The Association of Farmer Cooperatives in Germany forecasts a wheat production in the country of 21.87 million tons (-2.9% compared to 2022/23) and winter rapeseed production of 4.14 million tons (-3.1% compared to 2022/23).
- In the first 41 weeks of 2022/23, 42 million tons of grain were exported from Canada, which is 59% more than in 2021/22. 17.4 million tons of common wheat (+75%), of which 4.7% durum wheat (+100%), 2.9 million tons of barley (+57%) and 7.4 million tons of canola (+55%) were exported.
- In June, imports of palm oil in India will reach 640,000 tons (439,100 in May), soyoil imports are expected at 445,000 tons (+40%) and sunseed oil imports are estimated at 240,000 tons (-19%).
- According to the forecast of the Federation of Millers in India wheat production will be 101-103 million tons in 2023/24 against an official government forecast of 112.7 million tons.
- According to Oil World's forecast, the production of oil crops in the world will reach 646 million tons in 2023/24 (+37 compared to 2022/23). The biggest increase will be for soybeans +34.4 million tons to 402.3 million tons. The soybean production in Argentina will be 44 million tons (21), and in Brazil it is projected at 159 million tons (157). In Brazil, the expansion of soybean areas will reach the lowest level for the last 10 years and they will be 46.3 million hectares. Soybean production in the United States will reach 121.5 million tons (116.4), and soybean exports are expected at 50.6 million tons (-3).
