- The Government of India is not considering the possibility of increasing the import tax on vegetable oils. Now the duty on unrefined soyoil and sunseed oil is 5.5%, and the import tax on refined is at 13.75%.
- According to data from the government of Egypt, the country has enough stocks to meet domestic consumption for the next 5.9 months. The authorities have already purchased 2.7 million tons of wheat from local farmers, and the amount is expected to reach 4 million tons.
