- In recent days, the indicative prices of Ukrainian feed barley from the new 2022 crop with delivery within July-August fell by 5 USD/ton to 295 - 315 USD/ton FOB.
- MARS forecasts an average yield of soft wheat in the EU in 2022 of 5.95 tons/hectare (6.02 in March and -1% compared to 2021). The average yield is expected at 3.55 tons/hectare for durum wheat (3.6 and +1%), 5.79 tons/hectare for winter barley (5.83 and -5%), 7.9 tons/hectare for corn, 3.2 tons/hectare for rapeseed (without change and +4%) and at 2.4 tons/hectare for sunseed (+2% and +2%) .

- Wheat areas in Canada will increase by 7.2% to 10.1 million hectares in 2022, and rapeseed areas will decrease by 7% to 8.5 million hectares according to the forecast of the Statistical Office of Canada. The areas with spring wheat will increase by 7% to 7.13 million hectares, and durum wheat areas will increase by 12.5% to 2.5 million hectares. The areas with winter wheat will reach 0.49 million hectares (-13%).
- According to Conab data, as of April 24, 2022, the harvesting campaign of soybeans in Brazil took place on 92% of the areas (+5% for the week and 92% for the year before). The harvesting campaign of corn from the first crop was done on 66% of the areas (+ 6%).
- In 2022/23, the soybean areas in Argentina will increase to 17 million hectares (+0.65 compared to the current season) according to the FAS USDA forecast. The production will reach 51 million tons (+10) and soybean exports are expected at 6.5 million tons (+3.75). Sunseed areas will be 2 million hectares (+0.35) and the sunseed production will reach the highest level for the last 15 years of 4 million tons (+0.6).
- According to the FAS USDA forecast, the wheat production in Australia will reach 29 million tons in 2021/22 (36.3 in 2020/21), which is at the average level. The export potential is estimated at 22 million tons (-5.5). The barley production will be 11.5 million tons (-2.2 compared to the record 2020/21) and barley exports are projected at 3 million tons (6), which is an average level for the last 10 years.
- Bangladesh will reduce import taxes on rapeseed, sunseed and olive oil from 32% to 10%. The change is related to Indonesia's decision to limit exports of refined palm oil. Indonesia accounts for 85% of Bangladesh's annual palm oil consumption, which is 1.1 million tons.
