- SovEcon raised its forecast for wheat exports from Russia in 2021/22 by 0.2 million tons to 34.1 million tons. Exports in December are expected to reach 3.9 million tons, the highest level for the month since 2017.
- According to USDA data, the condition of winter wheat in Kansas deteriorated in December. 33% of the winter wheat crops are good and excellent condition (62% at the end of November and 46% at the end of December 2020). In Colorado, 25% of the winter wheat crop are in good and excellent condition (38% and 19%), 20% in Oklahoma (48%), 75% in Illinois (79% and 50%), 39% in Nebraska (64% and 37%).

- According to the forecast of S&P Global Platts, soybean processing in Argentina (October - September) will reach 42 million tons in 2021/22 (+4.6 compared to the previous season) and 47.7 million tons in Brazil (+2%). Insufficient capacity utilization in Argentina in recent years will continue this season. In 2021, due to the prolonged drought and the low level of the Parana River, logistics costs in the country have increased by 300%. However, soyoil production in Argentina will increase by 5.7% to 8.35 million tons and soymeal production is projected to go up by 4.5% to 32.75 million tons.
