According to the forecast of Safras & Mercado, the soybean production in Brazil will reach 144.7 million tons in 2021/22 (142.2 in the previous estimate and 137.3 in 2020/21).

- In October, 1.168 million tons of grain were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk (-37% compared to October 2020). Wheat exports reached 950,600 tons (-40%) and barley exports reached 218,300 tons (-14%).

- The Russian government imposes restrictions on the export of fertilizers over the period of 01.12.2021 - 31.05.2022. Exports of nitrogen fertilizers can reach a maximum of 5.9 million tons and exports of complex fertilizers are restricted to a total of 5.35 million tons.

- According to the latest forecast of SovEcon, wheat exports from Russia will reach 34 million tons in 2021/22 (-0.4 compared to the previous estimate). Total grain exports are projected at 43.8 million tons (-0.6).

- According to FranceAgriMer, as of 01.11.2021, 80% of the planned areas for winter wheat have been sown in France (+19% for the week and 75% a year earlier). 90% of the areas planned for barley (+12% and 86%) have been sown. The harvesting campaign of corn has been completed on 73% of total corn areas (+19% and 93%).

- On Friday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 7,500 contracts of corn, 11,000 contracts of soybeans and 4,500 contracts of wheat.

- Over the week of October 25-31, 946,400 tons of cereals and oilseeds were exported from Canada (1.18 million tons a week earlier). Exports of soft wheat reached 332,900 tons (185,500), durum exports reached 121,000 tons (4,100), barley exports reached 37,500 tons (231,500), canola exports reached 111,500 tons (274,600) and soybean exports reached 242,500 tons (355,500). In the first three months of the season, total grain exports decreased by 34% compared to 2020/21. Over the first three months of the season, wheat exports reached 3.29 million tons compared to 5.19 million tons for the same period in 2020/21.

- According to the forecast of Safras & Mercado, the soybean production in Brazil will reach 144.7 million tons in 2021/22 (142.2 in the previous estimate and 137.3 in 2020/21). 92% of the old 2020/21 soybean crop has been sold (98.7% in 2019/20) and 30.6% of the new 2021/22 soybean crop has also been sold (55.1% and 33% on average for the last five years).

- According to Chinese customs data, 5.11 million tons of soybeans were delivered to the country in October, which is 41.2% less than the previous year (8.69 million tons). This is the lowest level since March 2020. Over the first 10 months of 2021, 79.08 million tons of soybeans (-5%) were imported to China.

- According to ABS, 1.309 million tons of wheat were exported from Australia in September, which is 38% less than in August - 2.115 million tons. The largest customers were South Korea with 213,500 tons, China with 135,700 tons and Indonesia with 119,600 tons. Exports of wheat from the old crop are gradually declining as the new crop begins to be exported in October.
