- In 2021, the average yield of barley in Ukraine reached 3.86 tons/hectare, which is 19.5% more than the previous year with 92% of the harvested area. The barley production is expected to reach 9.2 million tons (7.947 for 20/21; 9.528 for 19/20 and 7.604 for 18/19).
- The Association of Farmers' Cooperatives in Germany predicts that in 2021 the wheat production in the country will be 22.39 million tons (22.8 million tons in the previous estimate and +1.3% compared to 2020). The rapeseed production is projected at 3.51 million tons (3.68 and -0.2%).
- According to NOPA data, 4.22 million tons of soybeans were processed in the United States in July, compared to 4.15 million tons in June (10% less than in July 2020). The July figure is the lowest for this month of the year since 2017.
- According to USDA data, as of 15.08.2021, 57% of soybean crops (-3% for the week and 72% a year earlier) and 62% of corn crops (-2% and 69%) were in good and excellent condition in the United States. Spring wheat is harvested on 58% of the areas (+20% and 28%).
- According to data from Safras & Mercado, as of 13.08.2021, the second corn production in Brazil has been harvested on 72.7% of the areas, which reaches 14.4 million hectares. 38.7% were harvested in Paraná, 68.9% in Mato Grosso do Sul, 59.7% in Goiás and 96.5% in Mato Grosso. A year earlier, 80.6% of the total 13.3 million hectares had been harvested.
- According to Deral data, as of August 17, 2021, 61% (62% a week earlier) of wheat crops were in good condition in the state of Paraná, 27% in satisfactory condition and 12% in poor condition. The state's wheat production is expected to reach 3.9 million tons (3.2 million tons in 2020).
