- The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia left its forecast for the total grain production in the country in 2021 unchanged at the level of 127.4 million tons, including wheat production estimate of 81 million tons.
- As of July 21, 2021, 10.3 million hectares of cereals were harvested in Russia. 34.9 million tons of grain were harvested at an average yield of 3.37 tons/hectare (3.34 tons/hectare a year earlier). Wheat was harvested on 7.7 million hectares or 26.8 million tons at an average yield of 3.47 tons/hectare (3.49). Barley was harvested on 1.4 million hectares or 4.8 million tons at an average yield of 3.48 tons/hectare ( 3.29).
- In 2020/21, 4.75 million tons of sunseed oil were exported from Ukraine, which is 18% less than the previous year. The biggest buyers were China with a share of 21%, India with 13%, the EU with 32% and Saudi Arabia with 23%.
- From the beginning of the season until 18.07.2021, 823,309 tons of grain were exported from the EU, which is 47.6% less than the previous year. Grain imports reached 594,449 tons (-29.5%). The exported soft wheat reaches 371,131 tons (-53.3%). The largest exporters are Romania with a share of 23%, Bulgaria with 18.3% and France with 16.5%. Corn imports reached 461,449 tons (-22.5%).
- According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture of Argentina, farmers in the country have sold 25.1 million tons of soybeans from the new crop, which is 2.1 million tons less than the previous year. According to the Buenos Aires Commodity Exchange, the soybean production reaches 43.5 million tons (49). Sales of corn from the new crop are 33.6 million tons (+2.7).
- According to Oil World, 1.05 million tons of vegoils were delivered to China in June compared to 1.12 million tons in June 2020. Imports of sunseed oil reached 91,000 tons (204,000), palm oil imports were 489,000 tons (606,000), soyoil imports were 214,000 tons (140,000) and rapeseed oil imports reached 253,000 tons (174,000). In the second quarter of 2021, total vegoils imports reached 3.15 million tons (+14%).
- The Association of Feed Manufacturers in Thailand has rejected all offers to purchase 138,000 tons of feed wheat of any origin and delivery within October-December.
